ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Lê Thị Hiền's "Nếp gấp 5" is a compelling exploration of geometric abstraction rendered with masterful precision. Crafted from pristine white marble, the sculpture elegantly simulates the delicate pliability of folded paper, yet embodies the enduring strength of stone. Its meticulously structured composition, featuring interlocking, symmetrical planes, creates a captivating optical illusion where light and shadow dance, accentuating the nuanced interplay of depth and surface. This piece transcends mere form-making; it is a profound meditation on rhythm, harmony, and the inherent complexity found within minimalist structures, establishing a timeless elegance and sophisticated aesthetic value.
