ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Truong Cong Tung, with his installation "One Trace, One Belief, One Sin, One Fear," has created a profound inner space. In the minimalist setting, the pure white of the exhibition room highlights the dark forms, seemingly woven from threads of organic memory. Natural light from the large window illuminates the space, creating shimmering lines and gentle shadows, emphasizing the mysterious presence of the work. The rich materials – plants, earth, bones, flesh, insects, along with the effects of temperature and time – are not merely a medium but also the message itself. They recreate the cycle of birth and death, the constant transformation of all things, turning the work into a vibrant entity, continuously redefining itself. From this, the work evokes reflections on the transience of a trace, the steadfastness of belief, the burden of guilt, and the instinct of fear, all interwoven into a complex symbolic structure.
