Areas of crimson and black create strong visual focal points, interwoven with shades of yellow-brown, earthy gray, and shimmering silver. The contrast between the glossy, reflective surface of the lacquer and the rough background evokes weathered rock, strata, and traces of minerals accumulated over time. Vertical lines and the repetition of shapes create a slow, even, and profound rhythm. The red evokes warmth and vitality; the black suggests depth and stillness; while the gold and silver make the surface of the work seem to contain layers of silently glowing memories. Through the imagery of stone, Huyen Lam does not depict a specific landscape but evokes thoughts of time, origin, and enduring vitality.
