ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In "The Interaction Between Earth and Man," Nguyen Thanh Son constructs the composition as a ritual space, where humans are surrounded by forms resembling souls, ancestors, and the community. The central figure is withdrawn in a dark doorway, hands outstretched forward, as if both receiving and praying. Above, faces and bodies are linked in a dense circle, creating the feeling that invisible forces are converging around the individual's life. The reddish-brown, earthy yellow, and deep black tones, along with the rhythmic repetition of eyes, faces, and square motifs, draw the viewer into a realm of both warmth and sacredness. Through this, the work evokes the connection between humans and the earth, communal memory, and the spiritual world within the cultural depth of the Central Highlands.
