In *Night and Echoes*, Nguyen Thanh Son creates a deep blue space where stone-like faces overlap like layers of memory. The central character is divided by two shades and two states of expression, evoking a sense of an entity both present and disintegrating in the darkness. The surrounding faces are closed or silent, creating wordless "echoes" of the community, the past, and the unconscious. Above, the image of an owl with its bright, open eyes becomes a point of alert observation amidst the entire hazy space. Through the contrast between silence and haunting, the work places the viewer in an introspective night, where memories, intuitions, and the hidden calls of humanity silently resonate.
