ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In "Góc vườn hoang 6", Phan Hoài Niệm masterfully captures the poetic interaction between enduring architecture and untamed nature. Through the delicate medium of watercolor on silk, the artist presents a romantic vision where a weathered pavilion is embraced by an exuberant cascade of vibrant pink and purple blossoms, forming an ethereal archway. The translucent quality of the silk enhances the dreamlike atmosphere, allowing the rich hues of the flora to softly contrast with the stoic, aged structure. This piece evokes a profound sense of nostalgia and serenity, celebrating the timeless allure of a seemingly abandoned garden corner, rejuvenated by nature's resilient beauty.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Phan Hoài Niệm (Phan Niệm)
(1971 – )Born in 1971 in Hue, Phan Niem graduated from the Hue College of Fine Arts in 1998 and is a member of the Hue Fine Arts Association. He has remained steadfastly dedicated to silk painting, viewing silk not merely as a medium but as an aesthetic language through which to transform the cultural and historical memories of Hue into imagery. His notable creative projects include *Still Life and Lotus* (2015–2026), *Vietnamese Princesses* (2017–2022), *Lotus Maiden* (2019–2023), and *Wild Garden Corner* (2019–2025). Phan Niem’s artistic world brings together lotuses, female figures, antiques, Hue gardens, and echoes of the imperial court, all rendered through soft hues, gentle contours, and an atmosphere of stillness. His paintings are distinguished by a harmony between nature and culture, the everyday and the imperial, the present and memory; together, they create a feminine, elegant beauty rich in the depth of time.
