ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Mina Ho Ferrante's watercolor on silk masterfully captures an essence of refined tranquility. The minimalist composition features a figure, elegantly draped in a white traditional garment, cradling a stringed instrument, likely a moon lute. Her posture and the delicate rendering of her hands convey a sense of gentle focus and musical contemplation. The artist employs a subdued color palette, where the crisp white of the attire harmonizes with the instrument's creamy hues, set against a soft, gradient background of blues, greens, and yellows. This interplay of form and color evokes a profound East Asian aesthetic, resonating with a quiet melody and inviting viewers into a space of serene introspection, celebrating grace and cultural depth.
